The sourcing company

About Crateworks.

Crateworks Supply Co sources premium architectural materials direct from qualified suppliers across windows and doors, cabinets, lighting, tile, flooring, sanitary, and soft furnishing. The showroom and dealer chain comes out of the price; the product and the freight go in.

Why we exist.

Premium building products pass through a long chain before they reach a job site: the supplier, an importer, a distributor, a showroom, a designer markup. Each link adds margin, and by the time the product hits an opening the price has little to do with what it cost to make.

We cut the chain down. We qualify the source, coordinate the logistics, and sell direct, so the price reflects the product and the freight rather than everyone who resold it. Builders, designers, and homeowners running real projects get the premium spec at a price that does not include a chain of intermediaries.

How we work.

  • Source qualification

Every supplier goes through a qualification cycle before product lists on the site. We verify build quality, cert pathways where they apply, and project track record. The supplier behind the product is the thing being qualified.

  • Built to your project

Products are made to your dimensions, finishes, and spec rather than pulled off a stock shelf. Custom is the default, not the upcharge. Lead times confirmed in writing before the project commits.

  • Honest cert framing

We frame products honestly for the projects they suit and confirm any certification in writing before a job that requires it. Where a product is renovation-only, the page says so; where a product carries verified certification, the ID is disclosed inline.

Charles Lau

Founder

Charles Lau founded Crateworks Supply Co to bring premium architectural materials direct to projects without the showroom and dealer chain. Background in operating consumer and B2B product ventures. Coverage.

Twelve product categories at different stages of depth. Windows and doors are the technical anchor with the most product depth. Cabinets, lighting, sanitary, flooring, tile, soft furnishing, wall panel, and metal-and-glass have hubs and sub-pages with buying guides; new product depth ships as supplier qualification completes.
