01 · Thermal break
Native PA66 thermal break
A 24mm PA66 polyamide strip mechanically rolled into the extrusion at the factory, not retrofitted with adhesive. Decouples the indoor and outdoor sides of the frame, cutting heat loss without thinning the wall.
02 · Hardware
Multi point locking, 316 stainless
Hardware is 316 grade stainless. Multi point locks engage at the top, middle, and bottom of every sash. Coastal install kits substitute 316 hinges for the standard 304 set, included at no upcharge inside the warranty radius.
03 · Glazing
Double or triple, factory sealed
Standard build is double pane with a warm edge spacer, argon filled, low e coated. Triple pane available on request for colder climates and adds 18mm to the overall sightline.
04 · Finish
Powder coat, 150+ RAL colors
Two stage powder coat applied after extrusion. Standard finish is 80 micron polyester. Coastal finish is 120 micron with a chromate primer. Specifiable in 150 plus RAL colors.
Energy performance certification (NFRC, AAMA) varies by product and is disclosed in writing on every quote. Suitable for renovation and replacement projects.
From the founders
Why we built this.
We started Crateworks because the gap between premium brand pricing and what the product actually costs to make is wider than most builders realize. Dealer, distributor, and showroom margins compound. The result is a 60 to 70 percent retail mark up on aluminum that already meets the same engineering specs as the brand-name line.
Crateworks is our answer. Same engineering, qualified at the source, sold direct. We carry the supplier relationships, the freight, and the warranty desk so you carry the project.
We sign ten founding partner builders to anchor the launch. You spec one opening as your first project. If margin is not where you need it after install, we refund the markup. No questions, no waiting on a year of orders.
