Sized to the room, not to a category
Standard chandelier sizing rules are blunt: add the room dimensions in feet, that's the diameter in inches. Custom-build lets the chandelier match the actual ceiling height, the dining-table proportion, the stair drop. The fixture reads as placed, not as sourced.
Specification covers diameter, drop height, number of arms or tiers, bulb type and quantity, finish family, and ceiling attachment. Standard E12 / E26 / GU10 bases throughout. UL or ETL listing is provided per fixture.
Modern, traditional, transitional
Modern chandeliers: linear bar pendants, sculptural rings, cluster globes, exposed bulb arrays. Traditional: crystal drops, multi-tier candelabra, ornate cast metal. Transitional: mixed metals, fabric drum shades over brass arms, simplified period profiles.
Finish family (brushed brass, oil-rubbed bronze, matte black, chrome, antique nickel) is specified once for the project so every fixture in the lighting schedule reads consistent.
UL / ETL listing and wiring
Every chandelier supplied through Crateworks ships with US- or Canada-recognized listing (UL, ETL, or cULus depending on origin). The listing covers wiring, sockets, and the fixture-to-junction-box connection. Replacement bulbs are standard-base and locally available.
Install runs through your local licensed electrician. Crateworks delivers the chandelier and any specialty ceiling canopy or medallion; the electrician connects to the junction-box rough-in.
