Glass Partition Walls

A glass partition wall is a floor-to-ceiling run of fixed aluminum-framed glass that splits an open plan into separate rooms while keeping daylight flowing through. It carves a meeting room or bedroom out of a loft without building a solid wall. Crateworks builds partition runs to height, with an integrated door where you need access.

Best for: Offices, studios, and hotel lobbies that need rooms without losing light.

Built to your opening

Every glass partition wall is made to order. You specify:

  • Size (to height)
  • Glass
  • Color (RAL)

Common questions

Can a glass partition include a door?
Yes. A partition run is built as fixed glass panels with a swing or sliding door integrated into the line, so the wall reads as one continuous glass plane with a working entry. The door position is set on the drawing.
Does a glass partition block sound?
A single-glazed partition divides space visually and cuts some noise, but it is not a soundproof wall. For meeting rooms that need real acoustic separation, a double-glazed partition with sealed perimeters performs better. Tell us the use and we will spec accordingly.
Where are glass partition walls used?
Glass partitions are common in offices, design studios, and hotel lobbies, anywhere you want to define a room without blocking light or making the space feel smaller. They also work in homes to carve a study or bedroom out of an open loft.

A different category than a hollow-core slab

Most interior doors sold in the US are hollow-core: a thin MDF or veneer face over honeycomb cardboard, hung on stamped hinges. They warp in humidity, dent on impact, chip at the edges, and look like the cheapest finished element in the room. They exist to fill an opening, not to be part of the design.

A glass partition walls from Crateworks is a slim aluminum frame with glass or mirror infill, built to your opening, color-matched to the room, on hardware sized to carry the panel weight. Aluminum does not warp or rust, the finish does not need repainting, and the panel reads as architectural detail across the room rather than a closet front to hide.
