Built for Kelowna’s climate
A steel door here has to answer two seasons, not one. Without a proper thermal break, a steel frame conducts winter cold straight through, showing up as condensation or frost on the interior face on the coldest nights. Without a UV-stable coating, the same frame's finish degrades faster under an Okanagan summer's strong, largely unfiltered sun than it would in a cloudier climate. A true thermal break closes the first problem and a UV-stable powder coat closes the second. Where a client wants the same black-frame sightline with neither concern to manage, we spec aluminum instead, same look, different metal.

Why it suits Kelowna
Both the thermal break and the UV-stable coating cost the same as a dealer's single-season frame once the estate order ships factory-direct, Kettle Valley or Upper Mission or anywhere else in the valley. That order still moves on the standard Okanagan route, freight over the Coast Mountains from the Port of Vancouver.
