A rug should fit the room, not the other way around. Crateworks supplies custom area rugs (hand-knotted, hand-tufted, flatweave) in any size, color, and pile, coordinated with the curtain and textile package on one schedule.

Construction: knotted, tufted, flatweave

Hand-knotted: highest-value construction. Each pile yarn tied by hand around the warp; refinishable, multi-generational lifespan. Hand-tufted: pile yarn punched through canvas backing; mid-tier durability, faster production. Flatweave: no pile, woven on a loom; sisal-like flat texture, indoor or indoor-outdoor.

Pile material: wool (default), silk (accent), wool-silk blend, cotton (flatweave). All natural fibers; synthetic blends on request only when budget requires.

Custom sizing and color match

Standard sizes (8x10, 9x12, etc.) ship faster but rarely match the room exactly. Custom sizing, say 11'4" × 14'6" to sit under the dining table with 24" margin, is the value of going custom. Specified to the inch.

Color match against a Pantone reference or a fabric swatch. Pattern: solid, banded border, allover repeat, geometric, or custom design. Reference designs supported on order request.

Hand-knotted is the heirloom-grade construction: every pile yarn tied by hand. Hand-tufted is mid-tier with faster production. Flatweave (no pile) works for high-traffic and indoor-outdoor. Choose based on budget, traffic, and lifespan expectation.
Any size from 3 ft x 5 ft up to ~16 ft x 25 ft. Beyond that, the loom width limit kicks in and the rug may need to be seamed. Specify the exact dimensions to fit your room and we confirm production feasibility before order.
Wool as default, silk or wool-silk blend for accent rugs, cotton for flatweave. Natural fibers throughout. Synthetic blends only when budget or maintenance demands require.
