Single or double exterior swing doors?

Crateworks builds exterior swing doors as a single panel for a side entrance, or a matched double for a wider patio opening. A double opens the full width and reads more formal; a single needs less swing clearance. We size it to your opening.

Which way should an exterior swing door open?

Exterior swing doors are usually hung to open inward in cold or windy climates and outward where space inside is tight, and the handing is set to clear traffic and furniture. Crateworks builds left or right hand, in-swing or out-swing, to suit the opening.

Do these doors carry weather and structural certifications?

We frame our exterior doors for renovation and replacement, and we only state a specific certification once the supplier has furnished the test documentation in writing. Requirements like water-tightness and wind-load vary by location. Tell us where the project is and we will confirm what we can document before you order.
